Before and after - Andrew's room

We thought it would be a bit cruel to leave Andrew's room pink, so we changed things up a bit. We used his old bedding and curtains, but had to modify the curtains so that they are long enough (ceilings are taller in this house). I have to say, the red stripe was done for practical purposes, but I love it!

Next up is Sarah's room. For those of you who don't know the story, when we told Sarah that we were going to have a new house, she immediately said that she wanted a yellow room. So, yellow it is! She's also been upgraded to her "big girl" bed which she absolutely loves.

Since some of you have been asking to see photos of our new house, I thought I'd start posting before and after photos as I finish up different parts of the house.

We didn't really do all that much with the front,but we did get rid of the hideous cactus, and thanks to my mom's idea, it didn't cost a single dollar. I posted an ad on craig's list for a free cactus with the condition that it had to be removed. Brilliant!

In case you're wondering why I'm so behind on updating my blog, this photo should explain it all. Ok, so this photo actually explains what happens when you work full time and have two little kids in the house :) Atleast the clothes were clean, right?

Funny Stuff

Yup, still getting caught up, but alteast we're in the right year now. About 2 weeks ago, Sarah was taking her time to eat dinner, so I thought I'd give Andrew a bath first and then her (instead of both at the same time). During Sarah's bath, Andrew crawled into the bathroom and was standing against the edge of the bath tub trying to get one of the toys. I turned my back for a few seconds to get something for Sarah and came back to this. All I have to say is that it's amazing how much liquid a diaper can really hold!

Christmas

Ok, so more catching up to do. Here's a few pictures from our Christmas. Sarah is finally understanding how fun it is to open presents. So much fun!

Halloween

Let's pretend it's October now. This was Andrew's first Halloween, although I don't think he really cared. Sarah had much more fun handing out (and eating) the candy than her costume. We did take her trick-or-treating down our street, but after the third or fourth house she was ready to head back home. Here's some pictures of their costumes.

Catching Up

Well, I thought I'd try something totally crazy and new. By that I mean that I will actually write in my blog. I know, not a very original idea, but I'm ok with that. Anyways, as many of you have pointed out to me, I haven't updated this thing since August. Time to get caught up now. If you're lucky, I'll start to do this on a regular basis :)
